Hi all! It's ya girl again back at it with the blog posts. You're probably wondering what I'm writing about now and why the whole "Golden Goddess" thing. Well, let me tell ya. After looking at this session, YOU. WILL. KNOW.

I met DeNeisha in grad school. We were both accepted as Ball State University Graduate Ambassadors, and we met during summer orientation for the program.

It all really began when we were assigned a seat next to each other the first day — two strangers embracing a new journey together. I was coming into my second year of grad school, and she her first. Little did we know that we'd end up paired together, learn more about each other, and present to the group for an icebreaker activity!! I was so excited to get to meet someone outside of my own grad program (finally)— you have no idea. I had a joy talking to, laughing with, and cherish getting to know DeNeisha better throughout the short orientation — it made that experience enjoyable for me, too.

Fast forward — I received a notification. It was DeNeisha! Who knew the friend I'd make in orientation would one day reach out to me to capture such a SPECIAL time for her — her own master's graduation!!! Of course I said yes, so here we are.

I called DeNeisha "The Golden Goddess" because of the golden yellow dress she wore for the session! Fun fact, she had originally picked a white dress for the session, but with the pandemic and crazy shipping expenses, this yellow one came into play. They were both beautiful dresses, but we both agreed that the yellow dress was a good call. Also, DOESN'T SHE JUST RADIATE BEAUTY?!?!

Due to the COVID19 global pandemic, our original day had also been postponed. Once we had the go to get out, we did. Turns out, we scheduled it on what would ave been Ball State's official commencement day for the semester! Boy, did we have some fun. Perfect lighting. Perfect day. Perfect outfits (hence, the Golden Goddess!). AND... a PERFECT way to get back into the swing of things as quarantine lessened. Bonus: I got to meet her mom and some of her family!!!! DeNeisha — I'm thankful you told me that I was the first person you talked to at BSU. It's been an absolute joy and honor continuing to get to know you!

Anyway, there are always too many to choose from (can I just pick them all?!), but these were just so fun.

So, my readers, let's enjoy some fun memories — Ya know ya want to.
