Megan & The Coffee Shop Adventures.

Hi, my wonderful people! It's yo girl, Michaela, here to start out my FIRST blog post on the new site!!! HOW EXCITING!!! There aren't enough exclamation marks to show my enthusiasm right now (even if it is Friday the 13th...).

First off: THE blog. I've been thinking about how I want to go about this for a long time, and I think I'd like to make it an environment for everyone to see more than the one or two pics I post on social media. I'll be honest, it's hard to choose when I work with AMAZING people — I'll fully admit it. So, I've decided I want this blog to start out by sharing more photos, and, well...we'll see where it takes us along the way!

Secondly, who better to feature in the first post other than my wonderful photo friend, Megan. We became good friends during our time in undergrad at Ball State University (chirp chirp!), where we studied photojournalism together! We've honestly roped each other into so many different photo scenarios over the years — and I've loved every minute of it.

In January of 2020, we decided to make monthly coffee/tea hangs a MUST. Since then, we've been exploring new places and spaces (which if you all know me, I LOVE exploring and trying new things!!). After catching up for a few hours over coffee at the Neidhammer, scootching around the table in our chairs as the sun chases us, Megan and I decided to check out the neighborhood around us and take advantage of the golden hour light.

So, I guess it's true: Life can take two photo friends and give them separate paths, but that doesn't mean it will take away that creative spirit, drive, and their ability to always find each other again.
